  1. Wordpress is not highly regarded by most developers, but it's highly valued by consumers and non-programmers for being easy to use to edit and publish content.
  2. Static sites created with Gatsby / React seem to be one of the best options in terms of modern programming and web development.
  3. Combining static sites with headless CMS such as Wordpress seems to me to be the best of both worlds.

1 + 1 = 2 right??
